TNMVMD Apprentice Recruitment Vacancy Details 2024
We are on the lookout for Category-I Graduate Apprentices in the realms of Engineering and Technology, focusing on Mechanical and Automobile Engineering. There are 18 apprenticeship positions up for grabs. Each apprentice will receive a monthly stipend of Rs.9000 to aid them financially throughout the training journey. This program lasts for one year, during which apprentices will acquire essential hands-on experience in their respective disciplines.
Additionally, we have openings for Category-II Diploma (Technician) Apprentices in Engineering and Technology, particularly in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering. A total of 61 apprenticeship slots are available for those eager to specialize in these fields. Throughout their training, apprentices will benefit from a monthly stipend of Rs.8000, helping to foster their educational growth. This one-year training program is designed to provide ample opportunity for apprentices to develop practical skills and knowledge in their area of focus.
TNMVMD Apprentice Recruitment Qualifications 2024
For Category I, Graduate Apprentices are expected to have a full-time degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized statutory university in their field. They may also qualify with a full-time degree in Engineering or Technology from an institution authorized by an Act of Parliament in the relevant area, or by passing a graduate examination from professional bodies acknowledged by either the State or Central Government as equivalent to the previously mentioned qualifications.
Conversely, Category II, Technician (Diploma) Apprentices are required to possess a full-time diploma in Engineering or Technology from a State Council or Board of Technical Education set up by the State Government in their specific discipline. Alternatively, they might hold a full-time diploma in Engineering or Technology awarded by a university in the relevant field, or a diploma in Engineering and Technology from an institution recognized by the State or Central Government as equivalent to the qualifications stated above.

TNMVMD Apprentice Recruitment Selection Procedure 2024
The Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is tasked with generating a shortlist from the information submitted in online applications. Selection will be determined by the percentage of marks obtained in the necessary basic qualifications relevant to each candidate’s discipline. Individuals who make it to the shortlist will be informed via their registered email. Subsequently, these candidates are required to participate in a Certificate Verification session at TNMVMD in Chennai.
How to apply TNMVMD Apprentice Recruitment 2024?
If you have previously registered as a student on the old National Web Portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) and have your login details, please type “A”.
Step 1:
a. Visit the link https://nats.education.gov.in
b. Select the option for Students
c. Click on Student login
d. Choose Forgot Password
e. Enter your registered email address to get an activation link and reset your password.
Step 2:
a. Log in as a student
b. Use your registered email to create a new password
c. Complete the application form
d. Each student will receive a unique Enrollment number (12 digits).
Once you finish enrolling on the new portal:
To submit your application:
a. Log in with your email and new password
b. Go to “Apply against advertised vacancies” and look for “TAMIL NADU MOTOR VEHICLES MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT”
c. Click apply. Your status will then show as “applied.”
